The collectors gathering for the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille concours – awarded “Historic Motoring Event 2014” – is undoubtedly a first class audience for an auction. Therefore, famous British auctioneers Bonhams, founded in 1793, will perform an exceptional auction on the occasion of the second edition during this concours orchestrated as an “Elegant Sunday in the countryside”.
An exceptional auction deserves an exceptional location. A marquee will be set in the courtyard of the prestigious Chantilly Estate’s Great Stables. 10 Automobiles items and 30 cars, all of them handpicked, will be only on sale on:
Saturday, 5th September 2015, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm
The viewing will be open from Friday, 4th September at 10:00 am
This appointment will be for sure one of the highlights of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille. A ‘not to be missed’!
Patrick Peter, Peter Auto Founder: “Bonhams has a worldwide reputation in the auction field, notably for collection cars. We are definitely delighted to associate this major firm with our event, as it is already the case at Spa-Classic. The organisation of such an auction in forthcoming September demonstrates the concours’ rise in power. This will also be the opportunity for Bonhams to operate in an unusual, historic and majestic location.”
Philip Kantor, Bonhams European Head of Motorcars declares: “The concept is to offer a bespoke ‘Salon’ style auction, offering a limited number of very fine examples of collectors’ motor cars, perhaps thirty or so carefully selected lots for the ‘black tie’ evening auction. Our partner, Peter Auto, has embarked on an innovative approach with Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, creating a new style of Concours – and Bonhams is delighted to be part of it.”
