Victory for South Africa

South Africa was victorious against the USA with a final score of 10–6 at the 25th Annual BMW International Polo Series this Sunday, 14th September in Johannesburg. The team that played against the USA was selected from the Prince of Wales Cup, which took place a month earlier. The USA have toured South Africa five times previously and won on three occasions. The fast pace of the game made for a thrilling atmosphere with fans almost constantly on their feet while watching the game.

“ This was probably the most interesting game I have seen. I would probably say out of all the games I’ve seen this is the best,” says Sibusiso Mabuza – CEO Momentum Asset Management.

The match took place at the pristine Waterfall Polo Estate. For the 5th year running, Mr Concierge, who own the rights to the Annual Prince of Wales Cup, hosted fifty guests serving scrumptious canapés, refreshing bubbly and offering excellent viewing location on the field proving to be the best host and spot for the afternoon to enjoy the game.

The day was marked with perfect South African weather and guests were dressed elegantly with a twist of Johannesburg edginess

The spectators left the match on a high eagerly anticipating the next Polo Series in 2015.
