La Dolfina wins Argentine Triple Crown!!!

Along with winning the 120th Argentine Open, Adolfo Cambiaso (10), David Stirling (9), Pablo Mac Donough (10) and Sebastian Merlos (9) of La Dolfina Hope Funds are this year’s winners of the Argentine Triple Crown. In a thrilling final La Dolfina defeated the foursome Pablo Pieres (8), Hilario Ulloa (9), Lucas Monteverde (9) and Frederick Mannix (8) of the opposing team Alegría Sancor Seguros by 16-11.
Alegría put up a good fight throughout the whole match, but La Dolfina was stronger and in the end emerged victorious. During the first two chukkers La Dolfina led temporarily by 5-1, but Alegría made up leeway and the first half of the final match ended tied by 8-8. At the beginning of the second half Alegría briefly took the lead after Hilario Ulloa scoring a goal from the field, 9-8. But after two more goals by Adolfo Cambiaso, La Dolfina was again in the lead and did not give it up until the end of the match.
This victory marked La Dolfina’s seventh Argentine Open title. After winning this year’s Tortugas Open and Hurlingham Open they are the overall winners of the Argentine Triple Crown. It was the first time that Alegría made it to the final of the Argentine Open.
