Matthieu Delfosse remains invincible

Matthieu Delfosse remains invincible after 5 participations at the Val d’Isère BMW Polo Masters. Not without a little discomfort, his younger brother Clément Delfosse fought hard to try to knock his older brother off the throne and take victory for his team Hexis. Team Barmes de l’Ours defended by Matthieu Delfosse, Patrick Paillol and Laurent Dassault, who participated for the first time in the Val d’Isère Polo Masters, confirms their new reign.
Fantastic weather, the spectators, not even put off by the bitter cold, came in hoards to support the 4 teams in the competition. It was during slightly warmer temperatures that the first part of the final saw victory for Team Avenue Lodge captained by Mikael Redding against BMW with a score of 8 to 4.
The final of the 2nd match did not disappoint the eager crowd. It was at much greater speeds, probably due to the ponies being better prepared, that the teams went head to head. Often the teams were at a draw, but the strength, tenacity and experience of Team Barmes de l’Ours over-rode the youth and energy of the Hexis players. Once again Matthieu had the upper hand over his younger brother Clément and took victory with one goal finishing the match with 5 to 4. With great modesty Matthieu announced that Clément would have merited this victory.
