For the second year in a row, team São José Polo has won the Brazil São José Gold Cup. The tournament hosts lifted the trophy after an emotional match, which was decided only during extra time. The 22-goals handicap tournament took place in the city of Campinas, São Paulo State, and is one of the most important polo competitions in the Brazilian calendar.
São José Polo Club hosted the final match event, including a special party for the invitees. When the match started, São José Polo counted with the talents of Willian Rodrigues and Gustavo Garcia – both represented the Brazil national team during Snow Polo World Cup 2014, in January, at Tianjin, China. The opponent was Itanhangá RP Sports with its internationally recognized player: Rodrigo Andrade.
After six chukkas, teams were tied at 9-9. In extra time, Gustavo Garcia scored the golden goal that consolidated the result and Brazil São José Gold Cup trophy went to São José Polo. Final result: A 10-9-victory for São José Polo Audi.
