British team wins in Czech Republic

Three teams participated in the second edition of the Czech Snow Polo Masters, organised by the Gill Polo Club. The event was held at the prestigious ski resort Špindleruv Mlyn in the Krkonosse mountains. In March 2014 the first Czech Snow Polo Masters, the first ever snow polo tournament in the Czech Republic, took place. The premiere was a total success and the feedback was extremely positive. This year the snow polo arena moved to a more central location and was bigger. The date was moved forward to January, the coldest and busiest period of the year, in order to have better snow conditions and to attract a bigger audience.

Two days of exciting polo saw Team Ski Areal, including the British players John Bunn (+2), Chas Taylor (+1) and Guy Harrison (0), emerge the winners with four straight victories. Team Brandgifts with Tim Vaux (+4), Birgitte Emborg (-1) and Tanja Dany (-1) was placed second. Captain Tim Vaux being awarded Most Valuable Player as he scored the most goals during the tournament. Best Playing Pony was Hijo owned by Naveed Gill. Players, sponsors and spectators had a wonderful time watching, playing and partying. Teams and partners are already asking for another edition in 2016.
