Roaring success for Land Rover

This past weekend the Bucherer Polo Cup München marked the starting point for the German Polo Tour. Eight teams participated in the sixth edition of the tournament, which was held in Holzkirchen / Thann near Munich, and fought for points for the renowned tournament series, which is held in six cities throughout Germany.

In the final, team Land Rover, consisting of Ignacio Garrahan (+4) and Niklas Jan Steinle (0) as well as German actor Heino Ferch (0) with his wife Marie-Jeanette (0), defeated team Lanson with Patricia Rohde-Deutsch (0), Comanche Gallardo (+2), Patricio Gaynor (+4) and Dr. Philipp Saame (0) by a large margin, 7.5-2. The match for third place was won by team Legacy Polo Club, including Stefan Locher (0), Dominik Velazquez (+1), Marcos Riglos (+5) and Cédric Schweri (0) from Switzerland. The foursome won narrowly by 6-5.5 against team Bucherer.

Organiser Christopher Kirsch: “The tournament was a huge success! About 2,500 spectators came to see the matches and enjoyed the good weather. All players and sponsors were very happy!”

25-27 September 2015: Bucherer Polo Cup
