This week the high-goal teams found out who their rivals would be in the 2014 Cartier Queen’s Cup. Arnaud M. Bamberger, Executive Chairman Cartier UK revealed the leagues during the President’s Draw at Guards Polo Club’s Clubhouse.
Cartier “The King of Jewellers” has a long-standing tradition of supporting polo across the world and this year celebrates its 30th anniversary of polo sponsorship at Guards Polo Club. Cartier UK enjoyed 27 wonderful years of supporting polo through the Cartier International Day and is now proud to be involved in the prestigious high-goal Queen’s Cup tournament.
The Cartier Queen’s Cup is one of the world’s leading polo tournaments, starring the world’s greatest players. The opportunity to win the Cartier Queen’s Cup is a highlight for the sport’s elite and creates memorable high-goal matches for players and spectators alike. HM The Queen first presented her Cup in 1960 and has watched HRH Prince Philip play in the final and present the trophy to HRH Prince Charles when he won with Les Diables Bleu in 1986.
This year’s tournament begins on Tuesday 20th May, the start of three weeks of thrilling high-goal polo. It will conclude on Sunday 15 June with a final historically played in the presence of HM The Queen.
