On Sunday, the 2014 Argentario Polo Club Polo Season ended with the finals of the VII edition of Coppa Italia F.I.S.E.. In the final match the Hungarian the Bardon Polo Team, consisting of Luca Zindel (-1), Andras Tombor (0), Matias Logioco (+3) and Matias Machado (+4), and team The Tides, including Maciek Ziemski (-1), Darek Gardener (0), Segundo Condesse Stanga (+3) and Santiago Irastorza (+4), fought for the title. The final was the best match of the tournament, played with great fairness. Speed and dexterity involved the audience who followed with passion until the last second of the game. In the end, The Tides won by 5-3.
The International Polo Tournament was organized by Argentario Polo Club in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sports (FISE). With great satisfaction of the Sports Organization, this year the tournament reached a record number in participating teams: 14 teams enrolled, including eight teams from foreign countries.
The award for “Fair Play” went to Martijn Van Scherpenzeel (+1) of Nipas Polo Team. Santiago Loza (+5) of team Argentario Polo Club was named “Best Scorer” with 21 goals during the tournament. Lagunera, played by Santiago Irastorza (+4) of winning team The Tides, was named “Best Horse in the Final”.
