In the final of the Côte d’Azur Polo Cup, team Ferne Park with Jonathan Rothermere (0), Vere Harmsworth (0), Felipe Llorente (+3) and Joaquin Pittaluga (+7) won against the local team Saint-Tropez / La Campana by 8-5,5. Team Saint-Tropez consisted of Kristian Petersson (0), Santiago Zubiaurre (+4) and J. M. Garcia Laborde (+5) as well as Corinne Schuler (0), president of the Polo Club Saint-Tropez.
The French team Paprec with Claude Solarz (0), Charles-Henri Le Galle (+2), Pablo Sirvent (+3) and Manuel Carranza (+5) was placed third after defeating the German team La Concepcion by 11-9. Ten international teams participated in the popular tournament at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez, which is located in Gassin next to the glamorous Saint-Tropez. The club, founded in 1998, is one of the biggest and best polo clubs in France.
