In Südspanien scheint immer nur die Sonne? Weit gefehlt. Das Sierra Nevada (Granada) Ski Resort ist das größte Skigebiet Spaniens und das einzige unter andalusischer Sonne. Genau dort findet am kommenden Wochenende Spaniens Snow Polo Premiere statt. Am 13. und 14. März 2010 treten vier Teams beim Jaeger-LeCoultre Snow Polo Cup 2010 erstmals auf schneebedecktem spanischen Boden gegeneinander an. Schauplatz des Spektakels ist der Parkplatz Los Peñones oberhalb von Granada mit der berühmten Alhambra. Der Eintritt für die Zuschauer ist frei.

2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre Snow Polo Cup in Sierra Nevada
Next weekend the first snow polo game will be played in the Spanish Sierra Nevada. The glittery snow-spectacle is organised by the Santa Maria Polo Club (Sotogrande).
It is not all sun and beaches in south Spain! The Sierra Nevada ski resort in Granada is Spain’s biggest skiing area and the only one in Andalucia. Indeed this is where the first ever Snow Polo game in Spain is scheduled to take place this weekend. On the 13th and 14th March 2010, four teams, playing on snow for the first time, will come up against each other at the 2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre Snow Polo Cup. The venue of these spectacular games will be the Los Peñones car park above Granada with the famous Alhambra as a backdrop. Entrance is free for spectators.
