Im Reich der Mitte legt der Polosport gerade eine rasante Entwicklung an den Tag. Eines der derzeit ambitioniertesten neuen Polo- und Lifestyle Projekte ist der Shanghai Premier Club.
Nach dem Dragons Hills Polo Club, 90 Kilometer von Shanghai, ist der Shanghai Premier Club das zweite Polo-Großprojekt für das sich das Eventmarketing- und Managementunternehmen Hussars Polo verantwortlich zeigt. Rachel Wyatt von Hussars Polo: „Der Shanghai Premier Club ist ein unabhängiger Club, der eine neue Dimension des Lifestyles schafft. Der Fokus liegt natürlich auf dem Sport, insbesondere auf Polo und Pferderennen, aber auch der soziale Aspekt wird nicht zu kurz kommen. Wir schaffen eine Kombination aus westlicher und chinesischer Kultur und das ist in dieser Form einzigartig.“
Während der Hauptsaison soll es jedes Wochenende spannende Spiele auf den zwei fullsize Polofeldern zu sehen geben. Und auch während der Woche wird im Club einiges los sein – Anfänger und Profis können in der Poloschule ihre Fertigkeiten auf dem Rasen verbessern. Wer noch kein eigenes Pferd im Stall hat, kann sich eines der 75 Ponys leihen. Nichtspieler haben derweil die Möglichkeit, sich die Zeit im Clubhaus vertreiben. Mit Spa, Pool, Fitnessstudio und Restaurants wird es bestimmt nicht langweilig.
Eröffnet wird der Shanghai Premier Club im Mai 2011 mit den Shanghai Polo Open. 2012 wird das Clubhaus fertig gestellt sein.

Shanghai Premier Club
The newly founded polo club will incorporate polo, equestrian sports and lifestyle in China.
There are rapid developments in polo in Cathay. The Shanghai Premier Club is presently one of the most ambitious polo-and-lifestyle projects underway.
Besides the Dragon Hills Polo Club, 90 kilometres away from Shanghai, the Shanghai Premier Club is the second polo project that the event marketing and management firm, Hussars Polo, is responsible for. Rachel Wyatt of Hussars Polo: “The Shanghai Premier Club is an independent club that is intend to create a new dimension of lifestyle. Of course the main focus is sport, especially Polo and horse ridding, however, the social aspect part of it too. We are creating a combination of the western and the Chinese cultures which in this form is unique.
During the peak season games will be played on the two full size polo fields every weekend. Even during the week, there will be lots of activity at the club with beginners and professionals having the opportunity to practice and better their skills on the turf. Those who do not own horses may borrow from amongst the 75 ponies at the club. Those not taking part in sports may while the time away at the clubhouse or make use of the spa, the pool, the gym and the restaurants.
The Shanghai Polo Open will mark the opening of the Shanghai Premier Club in May 2011. Construction of the clubhouse will be completed in 2012.
