Weltpremiere und Weltneuheit auf dem Münchner Flughafen: Vom 23. bis 25. April 2010 findet in Kooperation mit Baltic Polo Events das erste Polo Turnier an einem Flughafen statt. Auf der größten überdachten Freifläche Europas, dem MAC-Forum zwischen den beiden Flughafenterminals, spielen an insgesamt drei Tagen auf dem mit Sand aufgeschütteten Polofeld nationale und internationale Poloteams unter der Schirmherrschaft von S.D. Prinz Georg zu Bentheim und Steinfurt gegeneinander. Abgerundet wird dieser Event mit einem breiten Ausstellungsprogramm für Jung und Alt. Alle Spiele werden fachkundig moderiert. Wie bei allen Events am Flughafen München haben die Besucher die Möglichkeit, ihr Fahrzeug bis zu fünf Stunden lang kostenlos im Parkhaus P20 abzustellen.
Mit Gong 96.3 konnte ein attraktiver Radio-Partner gewonnen werden, der mit dem Moderatoren-Duo Andi Wenzel am Freitag und Samstag sowie Morning Man Mike Thiel am Final-Sonntag, die Veranstaltung akustisch begleitet. Gong 96.3-DJ C-Base sorgt für musikalische Top-Stimmung.

World Premiere: The First Airport Arena Polo Event
Curtains up! Munich Airport is opening its doors to the first Beach Polo tournament from 23rd to 25th April 2010.
A world premiere and novelty at the Munich Airport: In corporation with Baltic Polo Events, the first polo event to ever take place at an airport will be held from 23rd to 25th April 2010. For three days national and international polo teams will play on Europe’s largest roofed area, the MAC-Forum between the two airport terminals, which will be covered in sand for the event. The guest of honour will be S.D. Prinz Georg of Bentheim and Steinfurt. The event will be complemented by a broad exhibition program for the young and the elderly. All the games will be moderated by experts. As at all events at the Munich airport, guests may park their cars, free of charge, in car park P20 for up to five hours.
With Gong 96.3 a prestigious radio partner was won over for the event. Audio coverage will be provided by the Gong 96.3 duo Andi Wenzel on Friday and Saturday, and Morning Man Mike Thiel on Final-Sunday. DJ C-Base will provide musical entertainment.

Das Gelände des Flughafen München. Wo derzeit noch Reisende von Gate zu Gate hetzen, werden im April die ersten Flughafen Arena Polo Chucker ausgetragen.

Bereits seit Jahren wird der Flughafen München für Beachvolleyball-Events genutzt und verwandelt sich mit Tonnen von Sand regelmäßig in ein kleines Strandareal (www.airport-beach.de).
