(Von Eric Weil,&nbsp;Buenos Aires)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die sogenannte Extreme Polo League (XPL) wird von der EBI Media Holdings Ltd organisiert, die von Juan Zavalia, einem ehemaligen Low-Goal-Spieler aus Argentinien, gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Die Serie soll nicht mit anderen gro\u00dfen Turnieren kollidieren und wird im Rahmen von zehn oder mehr Stationen auf der ganzen Welt f\u00fcr Teams mit einem Teamhandicap von mindestens 28 Goal pro Team und mindestens 4-Goal-Spielern ausgetragen.<\/p>\n<p>Angemeldet f\u00fcr die ersten zwei Jahre der neuen Extreme Polo League haben sich bisher die La Dolfina Polo Ranch mit Adolfo Cambiaso und seinem Sohn \u2018Poroto\u2019, Ellerstina (m\u00f6glicherweise mit zwei Teams), Las Monjitas, La Aguada, La Ensenada, La Albertina und Alegria. Die USPA (US Polo Association) will mit einem vollst\u00e4ndig US-amerikanischen Team und die HPA (Hurlingham Polo Association) mit einem britischen Team teilnehmen. Wie im Formel-1-Motorsport werden die Teams bei jedem Turnier der neuen Liga Punkte sammeln und am Ende des Jahres entsprechend ihrer Position eine Siegerpr\u00e4mie erhalten. Im ersten Jahr, rechnet Zavalia vor, sollen 740.000 Dollar Preisgeld vergeben werden, das aus dem Verkauf von Franchises, TV, Marketing, Dienstleistungen, etc. stammt.<\/p>\n<p>Es werden einige Regel\u00e4nderungen vorgenommen, die das Spiel dynamischer und interessanter machen sollen. So werden beispielsweise Tore, die aus 80 Yards oder weiter entfernt erzielt werden, doppelt gewertet. Die Spieler k\u00f6nnen maximal 12 Pferde pro Turnier einsetzen und die Teams w\u00e4hrend des Spiels die Spieler wechseln.<\/p>\n<p>Der ehemalige NBA-Basketballspieler Pepe Sanchez ist der Partner von Zavalia und f\u00fcr die Finanzierung verantwortlich. F\u00fcr das n\u00e4chste Jahr wird eine Summe von 1.180.000 Dollar erwartet, die unter den Teams aufgeteilt wird. \u00bbSo etwas wie die XPL h\u00e4tte man vorher nicht machen k\u00f6nnen, da es den Medien bisher vor allem um die Zuschauerzahlen ging.
