1869 – 2019: Die UK Armed Forces Polo Association (UKAFPA) feiert den 150. Jahrestag von Polo in Gro\u00dfbritannien.  Eine Reihe von Feiern und Veranstaltungen w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Saison begleiten dieses Jubil\u00e4um.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das erste Polospiel in England (\u00bbHockey zu Pferd\u00ab, wie es damals genannt wurde), fand 1869 statt und wurde von Offizieren in Aldershot organisiert, von denen einer in einer Ausgabe der Zeit-schrift \u00bbThe Field\u00ab \u00fcber das Polospiel in Indien gelesen hatte. Etikette und Regeln entwickelten sich schnell und bald wurde Polo in vielen Clubs gespielt, Hurlingham war einer der ersten (1874).<\/p>\n

Mark Cann von der UK Armed Forces Polo Association Charity ist der Hauptkoordinator der Polo150-Aktivit\u00e4ten anl\u00e4sslich des Jubil\u00e4ums: \u00bb2019 ist ein wichtiges Jahr f\u00fcr uns. Den Sommer \u00fcber wird es von Polo150 unterschiedlichste Polo-Veranstaltungen auf der ganzen Welt geben, die unsere f\u00fcnf Kernbotschaften enthal-ten: Polo hat bis heute eine einzigartige Verbindung zum Milit\u00e4r in Gro\u00dfbritannien, Polo ist philanthropisch, M\u00e4nner und Frauen spielen gemeinsam gleicherma\u00dfen auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau, der Polo-sport ist ein bedeutender Arbeitgeber auf der ganzen Welt und nichtzuletzt die unglaublichen und einzigartigen Polo-Ponys.\u00ab Die wich-tigsten britischen Feierlichkeiten finden rund um die bestehende Chapple Cup-Serie vom 8. bis 14. Juli 2019 statt, weitere Events und Turniere werden au\u00dferhalb dieser Zeit sowohl in Gro\u00dfbritan-nien als auch weltweit stattfinden.<\/p>\n

Die wichtigsten Polo150-Aktivit\u00e4ten 2019: Goldene Polob\u00e4lle wer-den an Polo-Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten verteilt, darunter f\u00fchrende Polo-Clubs, Spieler, Sponsoren und F\u00fchrungsgremien auf der ganzen Welt in jeder Polo-Nation. Eine Hackett Fotoausstellung in London, die Poloafrica Tour nach Gro\u00dfbritannien im Cirencester Polo Club (22. Juni) und im Guards Polo Club (23. Juni), der Finaltag des Royal Windsor Cup wird traditionell von Ihrer Majest\u00e4t der K\u00f6ni-gin besucht. Internationale Spiele in Gro\u00dfbritannien, Asien, USA und S\u00fcdafrika sowie die Chapple Cup Series Matches in Sandhurst, Tidworth PC und Guards PC.<\/p>\n
