Europa hatte in diesem Sommer viele Polohighlights zu bieten. Eins davon entsteht gerade erst – im portugiesischen Alentejo.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Eine bewegte und gro\u00dfartige Polosaison neigt sich in Europa dem Ende zu. Die Berenberg German Polo Masters auf Sylt geh\u00f6rten dazu. In seiner mittlerweile 21. Ausgabe ist das Turnier eine der traditionsreichen Konstanten im deutschen und europ\u00e4ischen Polosport. Ein Besucherrekord und das internationale Line-up der Teams haben wieder einmal gezeigt, wie gro\u00df die Resonanz und das sportliche Interesse auf Deutschlands n\u00f6rdlichster Insel ist.<\/span><\/p>\n

In der Schweiz hat der Poloklassiker <\/span>Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad im August wieder seine ganze Strahlkraft entfaltet. Auf 1.050 Metern \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel, mitten in den Bergen des Berner Oberlandes haben Teamcaptain Dr. Piero Dillier, Lucas Labat<\/span>, Bautista Beguerie und Juan Manuel Gonzales der Konkurrenz gezeigt, wie Sieger aussehen. Freuen d\u00fcrfen wir uns jetzt schon auf August 2020, dann <\/span>feiert dieses einzigartige Polo-Event sein 25-j\u00e4hriges Bestehen. Mit Pierre Genecand und seinem Team als Organisator wird dieses Jubil\u00e4um garantiert f\u00fcr Begeisterung sorgen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Die Open de France sind nat\u00fcrlich das wichtigste und heraus-ragende Poloturnier in Frankreich. In diesem Jahr konnten nach einer \u00fcberaus erfolgreichen internationalen Saison f\u00fcr das Polo in Chantilly die \u201cChantilly-Newcomer\u201d vom Team Marques de Riscal aus Spanien ihr K\u00f6nnen unter Beweis stellen. Das Finale der Paprec Open de France 2019 hat auch bei den Damen alle seine Versprechen gehalten. <\/span><\/p>\n

In Three Roses, nur 20 Minuten vom s\u00fcdspanischen Sotogrande entfernt, haben wir den Iridike <\/span>Polo Club besucht. Dank des idealen Winterklimas in Spanien ist er ganzj\u00e4hrig eine hervorragende Polo-Destiation um zu spielen, von erfahrenen Polo-Profis zu lernen und seine Pferde unterzubringen.<\/p>\n

Von Spanien ist es nicht weit ins benachbarte Portugal. Etwa eine Autostunde s\u00fcdlich von Portugals lebendiger Hauptstadt Lissabon erwacht im Alentejo gerade eine Region, die sich als der neue \u201eplace to be\u201c, die neuen \u201eHamptons\u201c Portugals positioniert. Einige prominente Million\u00e4re sind schon da. Hier startet gerade die Realisierung eines Projekts, dass das kleine Land ganz im Westen Europas zu einem der Polo Hot-Spots des Kontinents und der ganzen Welt machen soll. Projektentwickler Stefan Maria Gast wei\u00df, worauf es ankommt, um den Traum vom besten Polo Club der Welt in Portugal Wahrheit werden zu lassen. Wir freuen uns darauf.<\/span><\/p>\n
