Wir haben ihn zum Interview in Ascona getroffen, wo er (auch) fast gewonnen h\u00e4tte.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Seit dem Fr\u00fchjahr 2019 ist der geb\u00fcrtige Brasilianer mit deutschen Wurzeln, Marcus Schalldach, Pr\u00e4sident der Brasilianischen Polo Assoziation S\u00fcd. In vier Verb\u00e4nde teilt sich das gro\u00dfe Pololand auf, in dem insgesamt rund 500 aktive Spieler zu Hause sind. Epizen-trum und Ausrichter der meisten und wichtigsten Turniere ist der Helvetia Polo Club. Hier ist auch Schalldach zum Polo gekommen, als er vor rund 13 Jahren auf dem Gel\u00e4nde des Helvetia Polo Club mit seiner Familie sein neues Haus bezog. \u201eIch hatte bis dahin mit Polo keinerlei Ber\u00fchrungspunkte. Erst im Helvetia bin ich auf die Pferde und die Faszination des Polosports aufmerksam geworden \u2013 und habe mit dem Polospiel begonnen.\u201c Seitdem ist der Gesch\u00e4ftsmann mit einem Handicap von +1 ein nicht nur sehr aktiver, sondern auch sehr erfolgreicher Player. Beim Ascona Polo Cup 2019, den er bereits 2015 gewonnen hatte, gab er sich in diesem Jahr nur unter gr\u00f6\u00dfter Gegenwehr mit dem zweiten Platz zufrieden und wurde auch noch als \u201eMost Valuable Player\u201c des Turniers ausgezeichnet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Auch in Kroatien und der Mongolei ging Schalldach schon an den Start, meistens jedoch spielt er in seinem Heimatland Brasilien. Sein gr\u00f6\u00dfter Erfolg stammt aus dem Jahr 2008, als er noch mit Handicap -1 ein 18-Goal Turnier in Brasilien gewinnen konnte. Und auch bei der Brasilianischen Polo Meisterschaft im 8 Goal stand Schalldach vor zwei Jahren gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn ganz oben auf dem Siegertreppchen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Als neuer Pr\u00e4sident der Brasilianischen Polo Assoziation S\u00fcd, hat sich der kreative Unternehmer ein besonderes Projekt vorgenommen. \u201eNat\u00fcrlich geht es auch immer darum, neue Spieler und Fans zu bekommen, eben das Einzugsgebiet unseres Sports zu erweitern. Hier im S\u00fcden haben wir eine sehr gro\u00dfe Szene von Gauchos und Crioulos Z\u00fcchtern, die in erster Linie in der Viehzucht aktiv sind. Dieses Klientel f\u00fcr Polo zu begeistern, w\u00e4re meine Idee. Schlie\u00dflich sind alle Ressourcen wie Reiter, Pferde, Spielfl\u00e4chen bereits ausreichend vorhanden. W\u00e4hrend dem gro\u00dfen Championat der Cavallo Crioulos Z\u00fcchter Ende August n\u00e4chsten Jahres k\u00f6nnte es also bereits soweit sein. Mit einem gro\u00dfen Arenapolo-Event will Schalldach die Aufmerksamkeit und Begeisterung der Gauchos und Z\u00fcchter auf den Polosport ziehen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bei sich zu Hause auf der Estancia Felicidade, die seit 4 Jahren fertig ist, stehen ihm und seinem Team eine Poloarena und zwei Polo Spielfelder zur Verf\u00fcgung. Hier spielt er in der zweiten H\u00e4lfte der Saison ab Ende September, wenn im Helvetia Polo Club Ruhe einkehrt.
