Dieses Material, das in der Uhrmacherkunst exklusiv bei Richard Mille zum Einsatz kommt, vereint die Leichtigkeit von Titan mit der H\u00e4rte von Diamant.<\/p>\n<p>Die Konstruktion des Automatikuhrwerks \u00fcberl\u00e4sst den Ehrenplatz dem Titan. Zu seinen Funktionen z\u00e4hlen insbesondere eine GMT-Anzeige, die sich sehr einfach \u00fcber einen Dr\u00fccker bei 9 Uhr einstellen l\u00e4sst, ein 24-Stunden-Flyback-Chronograph sowie ein Jahreskalender. Das graue Cermet f\u00fcgt sich harmonisch in die puren, aerodynamischen Linien des legend\u00e4ren Geh\u00e4uses ein, das 50 x 42,70 mm bei einer Gesamth\u00f6he von 16,15 mm misst.<\/p>\n<p>Das Cermet verdankt seine einzigartige graue Farbe einer metallischen Zirkonium-Matrix in Verbindung mit Hochleistungskeramik. Seine Umsetzung gestaltete sich genauso anspruchsvoll, wie der Entstehung der Materialien selbst. Erhitzen und Verpressen dieser beiden sehr unterschiedlichen Materialien bei hoher Temperatur, ohne die jeweiligen Qualit\u00e4ten zu beeinflussen, entpuppte sich als Herausforderung. Und ein homogenes Ganzes zu erhalten gestaltete sich umso schwieriger, da Nickel und Kobalt, die gew\u00f6hnlich in dieser Familie harter Werkstoffe verwendet werden, nicht in Frage kamen, um den REACH-Standards gerecht zu werden, die Herstellung und Verwendung von Chemikalien in der europ\u00e4ischen Industrie sicherstellen.<\/p>\n<p>In einer mehrj\u00e4hrigen Entwicklung gelang es Richard Mille und der auf Mikrotechnologie spezialisierten Groupe IMI, diese unerw\u00fcnschten Bindemittel zu beseitigen und nur geeignete Materialien zur\u00fcckzubehalten. Das innovative Verfahren, das die L\u00f6sung brachte, verkn\u00fcpft klassisches Hei\u00dfpressen mit einer Reihe von starken Stromimpulsen, um die Sinterkinetik zu steigern \u2013 eine Technik, die als \u201aSpark-Plasma-Sintern\u2018 bekannt ist. Seine Dichte von 4.1 g\/cm 3 \u2013 weniger als Titan \u2013 und seine H\u00e4rte von 2.360 Vickers \u2013 fast genauso hoch wie die 2.400 Vickers von Diamant legen die Verwendung von Cermet f\u00fcr L\u00fcnetten und andere Bereiche nahe, die in besonderem Ma\u00dfe Kratzern ausgesetzt sind, unter Bewahrung eines geringen Gesamtgewichts. Die physikalischen Eigenschaften von Cermet sind weithin anerkannt, was seine h\u00e4ufige Verwendung in ballistischem Schutz, bei \u00e4u\u00dferen Rumpfkomponenten in der Raumfahrt sowie den Bremsen von Rennfahrzeugen erkl\u00e4rt.
