Viele Gr\u00fc\u00dfe und ein herzliches Willkommen in meiner \u201eSpeakers Corner\u201c f\u00fcr die neue Ausgabe von POLO+10.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2020 war ohne Zweifel eines der denkw\u00fcrdigsten Jahre in unser alle Leben. <\/span>Ein Jahr, welches uns veranlasst hat, zur\u00fcckzublicken und auch zu schauen, was die Zukunft bringen wird. Ich hoffe, dass Sie und Ihre Familien in diesen unsicheren Zeiten gesund sind und wir alle m\u00f6glichst bald zu einem fr\u00f6hlichen und aufregenden Leben zur\u00fcckfinden werden<\/span> 🤙🏼<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neben all den negativen Schlagzeilen war f\u00fcr mich 2020 auch insofern ein besonderes Jahr, als dass ich auf 10 Jahre meiner T\u00e4tigkeit als Kommentator beim Polo zur\u00fcckblicken kann. All die wunderbaren Menschen, die ich im Laufe der Jahre kennenlernen durfte, Freundschaften, die ich schlie\u00dfen durfte, die wundersch\u00f6nen Orte, die ich besuchen durfte, sind wunderbare Erinnerungen, auf die ich in diesen Zeiten gerne zur\u00fcckgreife.<\/span><\/p>\n

Der Polo Sport f\u00fchrte mich in \u00fcber 16, teilweise sehr exotische, fremde L\u00e4nder, von denen ich einige zum ersten Mal besuchen durfte und deren Kultur und Bev\u00f6lkerung eine absolute Bereicherung f\u00fcr mich waren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Der Polo Sport ist sehr facettenreich und ich hatte das Gl\u00fcck, auf so viele verschiedene Arten involviert und t\u00e4tig zu sein. Als ich 1998 durch Champagne Pommery nach England kam um die Marke dort zu vertreten war es auch meine Aufgabe das Pommery Polo Team mit John William Manconi, Piki Alberti, Juan Bollini und Henry Brett zu betreuen, die in 1999 The British Open gewannen \u2013 ein perfekter Tag f\u00fcr uns, vor allem da das Turnier von Veuve Cliquot gesponsert wurde. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sp\u00e4ter dann habe ich im Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club f\u00fcr Brian Morrison und Captain Michael Amoore arbeiten d\u00fcrfen, echte  <\/span>Pioniere des Englischen Polo Sports. Dank meines guten Freundes Steve Thompson, der mir das Reiten beibrachte, lernte ich Polo zu spielen. Vielen Dank Steve, du hast einen tollen Job gemacht. Captain Michael Amoore sagte einmal w\u00e4hrend einer Unterrichtsstunde zu mir: \u201eVersuch nicht auszusehen, als h\u00e4ttest du Verdauungsprobleme, wenn du im Sattel sitzt!\u201c Ich hab mich dran gehalten und werde es nie vergessen. Nochmal vielen Dank, Michael.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nach einigen Jahren als Spieler, Trainer und Schiedsrichter lancierte ich im Jahr 2004 meine eigene kleine Firma MiG Polo International Ltd., mit der ich seit \u00fcber 16 Jahren die weltgr\u00f6\u00dften Screens bei den renommiertesten Turnieren in England bereitstelle. Ein Highlight in jedem Jahr ist der Finaltag der British Open im Cowdray Park Polo Club.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wie die Jungfrau zum Kinde kam ich zum Kommentieren als mich Daniel W\u00e4chter im Guards Polo Club Ende 2010 fragte, ob ich ein Turnier in Klosters\/Schweiz mit meiner Stimme begleiten m\u00f6chte. Ich stimmte zu und bin dabei geblieben. Die Bezeichnung \u201eThe Voice of Polo\u201c verdanke ich POLO+10.<\/span><\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend der letzten 10 Jahre habe ich mit vielen au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen und liebenswerten Menschen in diesem Sport gearbeitet. Die gemeinsame Basis war immer die Leidenschaft f\u00fcr das Spiel. Es war und ist eine Riesenfreude, Teil von so vielen gro\u00dfartigen Teams zu sein und zur Entwicklung s\u00e4mtlicher Turniere meinen Beitrag leisten zu d\u00fcrfen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es war ohne Zweifel ein spannendes, aufregendes und tolles Jahrzehnt und es gibt so viele Menschen, bei denen ich mich f\u00fcr ihre Unterst\u00fctzung und ihr Vertrauen bedanken m\u00f6chte.  <\/span>Die Liste w\u00e4re zu lang um sie hier alle auf zu z\u00e4hlen (und ich m\u00f6chte nat\u00fcrlich auch vermeiden, dass ich jemanden vergesse), aber ich denke, diejenigen, die ich meine, wissen wer angesprochen ist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ich bedanke mich von Herzen, dass ich die letzten 10 Jahre Eure  <\/span>\u201eVoice of Polo\u201c sein durfte und freue mich sehr auf die n\u00e4chsten 10.<\/span><\/p>\n
