R\u00fcdenau in der N\u00e4he von Miltenberg ist seit 2016 bekannt durch die Marke \u201eSt. Kilian<\/b>\u201c<\/span>. Seit der Gr\u00fcndung von St. Kilian Whisky ist der zuvor vor allem durch die Textilindustrie bekannte Ort stark im Wandel.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>

Genuss nicht nur zum Feierabend oder nach einem gelungenen POLO Spiel. Der St. Kilian Whisky ist etwas Besonderes. <\/b>Sein Name <\/b>l\u00e4sst sich bis ins 7. Jahrhundert auf die in R\u00fcdenau angesiedelten M\u00f6nche Kilian, Kolonat und Totnan zur\u00fcckf\u00fchren. Es ist \u00fcberliefert, dass diese f\u00fcr ihre Mission Aquavite (aromatisierte Spirituosen) genutzt haben. So wurden sie Paten bzw. Namensgeber der St. Kilian-Produkte. Die in der deutschen Whiskylandschaft f\u00fchrende Whisky-Destille wurde von Andi Th\u00fcmmler gegr\u00fcndet, der auch Retter des Firmengeb\u00e4udes ist. Zuvor hatte eine Textilfirma dort ihren Sitz, die zum Recyclinghof umgewandelt werden sollte. Ein Gl\u00fcck f\u00fcr alle Whisky-Liebhaber, dass sich Andi Th\u00fcmmler kurzerhand dazu entschloss, das Geb\u00e4ude zu \u00fcbernehmen und an diesem Standort eine Whisky-Destille zu gr\u00fcnden.<\/p>

Mittlerweile gibt es eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl an Whiskies, Lik\u00f6ren und etlichen ausgezeichneten Sondereditionen. Aus einer gro\u00dfen Auswahl an Lieblings-Whiskys kann im Online-Shop der Unternehmenswebsite gew\u00e4hlt werden. Von verschiedenen Sondereditionen bis hin zum Bud Spencer und Terence Hill Whisky, welche unter anderem in Amarone bzw. Rum F\u00e4ssern gereift sind. F\u00fcr jeden Whisky-Fan ein Traum ist eine eigene Fassabf\u00fcllung. Auch Whisky als Investment ist sehr stark nachgefragt. In Deutschlands gr\u00f6\u00dfter Whisky-Destille werden dar\u00fcber hinaus ganzj\u00e4hrig Besucher begr\u00fc\u00dft, die dort das Handwerk rund um den Whisky hautnah erleben k\u00f6nnen. Die Destille ist heute sehr prominent und wurde mehrfach mit internationalen Goldmedaillen ausgezeichnet.<\/p>

Unverkennbar sind die schottischen Wurzeln. Das Gerstenmalz f\u00fcr den nicht getorften Whisky kommt aus der fr\u00e4nkischen Heimat, aber f\u00fcr den rauchigen Whisky wird auf das getorfte Gerstenmalz aus Schottland zur\u00fcckgegriffen. Ebenfalls von dort kommen die speziell angefertigten Kupfer-Brennblasen mit den h\u00f6lzernen G\u00e4rbottichen. Ganz nach dem schottischen Vorbild wird in R\u00fcdenau bei der St. Kilian-Destille deutscher Single Malt Whisky hergestellt. Hier trifft deutsche Ingenieurskunst auf jahrzehntelanges Know-How in Pot-Still-Brennblasen aus Kupfer. Dies ist ein Garant f\u00fcr den besonders beliebten Single Malt mit reinem Gerstenmalz.<\/p>

Der Whisky reift insgesamt in \u00fcber 300 verschiedenen Fasstypen aus der ganzen Welt. Vor der Abf\u00fcllung wird dieser weder k\u00fchl gefiltert noch gef\u00e4rbt, um den urspr\u00fcnglichen und nat\u00fcrlichen Geschmack bei zu behalten.<\/p>
