Das Standing Rock Polo Team darf auf ein erfolgreiches Jahr zur\u00fcckblicken. Was macht den Erfolg dieses doch noch jungen Teams aus?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Nun, wir spielten letztes Jahr unsere vierte Saison in England, drei davon noch mit dem alten Namen (Wascosa Polo Team). Wir versuchen, eine gesunde Mischung zwischen Sport und Spa\u00df zu finden. Der Umgang der Teammitglieder untereinander ist dabei ein wichtiger Bestandteil. Jeder im Team hat seine Rolle, keiner ist wichtiger als das Team. Es herrscht eine gute Stimmung im Team; Standing Rock ist eine gro\u00dfe Familie. Daneben versuchen wir schon, m\u00f6glichst professionell aufgestellt zu sein und nichts dem Zufall zu \u00fcberlassen.<\/p>

Was sind die Pl\u00e4ne von Standing Rock f\u00fcr die neue Saison?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Das neue Jahr hat gut angefangen mit Turnieren in Argentinien und Neuseeland mit Turnieren bis zu 20 Goals. In England werden wir auch dieses Jahr die 12-Goal Victor Ludorum-Meisterschaft spielen. Neu werden wir auch ein High-Goal-Team haben, wo wir uns vorerst auf die 18-Goal-Turniere konzentrieren. Im Sp\u00e4tsommer ist geplant, wieder in Chantilly zu spielen und danach vermehrt Turniere in Argentinien.<\/span><\/p>

Wie sieht die Organisation von Standing Rock heute aus?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Wir haben unsere Basis in England, beim Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, sowie beim Guards Polo Club. In Argentinien haben wir k\u00fcrzlich 20 Stallungen erworben auf der La Dolfina Ranch bei Ca\u00f1uelas, was sich immer mehr zum neuen Hotspot rund um Buenos Aires entwickelt und wo sich inzwischen zahlreiche der besten Spieler Argentiniens befinden. Diese Basis wollen wir ausbauen, inklusive zahlreichen Jungpferden, die wir dort trainieren und in den n\u00e4chsten Jahren spielbereit sein werden.<\/span><\/p>

Standing Rock ist mehr als ein Polo Team und positioniert sich ja auch als Marke in der Polo Welt. Was steht denn au\u00dfer dem eigenen Poloteam auf der Agenda?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Treu den Werten der Native Americans, von denen wir uns inspirieren lie\u00dfen, engagieren wir uns f\u00fcr Fairplay, das Wohlergehen der Pferde sowie f\u00fcr diverse Charities.<\/p>

K\u00f6nnen Sie mehr dazu sagen?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Standing Rock stiftet ab diesem Jahr einen Fairplay Award f\u00fcr die HPA f\u00fcr das fairste und sportlichste Poloteam in England. Wir sind gespannt, wie diese Auszeichnung aufgenommen wird. Mit der Erstellung der Troph\u00e4e haben wir Emma McDermott, eine der bekanntesten Skulpteurinnen in Gro\u00dfbritannien, beauftragt. Wir hoffen damit, die Polowelt zu inspirieren. Gewinnen ist wichtig, es ist aber immer auch die Frage, wie man sich gegen\u00fcber dem Gegner, den Schiedsrichtern und gegen\u00fcber den Pferden verh\u00e4lt. Daneben engagieren wir uns an verschiedenen Charities wie zum Beispiel beim Polo in the Park-Turnier im Juni in London. Auch das j\u00e4hrliche Fest f\u00fcr die Grooms darf nicht fehlen, welches Standing Rock f\u00fcr s\u00e4mtliche Grooms des Berkshire Polo Clubs ausrichtet. Dabei geht es darum, den Grooms gegen\u00fcber die Wertsch\u00e4tzung f\u00fcr ihre t\u00e4gliche Arbeit zum Ausdruck zu bringen.<\/span><\/p>

Was w\u00fcnschen Sie sich f\u00fcr die neue Saison?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Ich w\u00fcnsche mir eine freudvolle Spielzeit ohne Unf\u00e4lle. Zuoberst steht die Gesundheit der Spieler und der Pferde. Wenn wir daneben die Polowelt mit unserer DNA und unseren Werten, die wir vertreten, inspirieren k\u00f6nnen, dann w\u00fcrde mich das umso mehr freuen. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
