For the fifth time Christian Völkers, chairman and founder of the Engel & Völkers AG, invites on July 13th to the Engel & Völkers Polo Cup at his private estate ”Son Coll” in Port d’es Canonge at the southwest coast of Majorca. About 450 colleagues, friends and international guests, among them numerous celebrities from the fields of politics, media, culture, economy and sport have announced their attendance.
Altogether six teams with three players each participate in the tournament. The team Engel & Völkers consists of Christian Völkers (0), who plays together with Christian Kirsch (+4) and Diego Leal (+1).
For the tournament more than 60 polo ponies were brought from the Spanish mainland or from Germany to Majorca. Because the estate is only accessible through very narrow, miles long serpentine lines, the horses were ridden in recent days over the neighbour’s finca to “Son Coll”. Tomorrow the preliminary rounds begin. On Saturday, July 13th, the semi finals and the final take place.
