From 18th to 20th July the Hublot Polo Cup Ascona will be held for the fifth time. Four teams with an international line-up and players from Germany, Argentina, Denmark, Hungary, Peru, Russia and Switzerland will come to Ticino, Switzerland and compete against each other under the motto “Switzerland meets Russia”. The matches will again be held at the old airport of Ascona.
The event starts on Friday, 18th July with the first polo matches at 16.30hrs and 17.30hrs and in the evening is the time for the Player’s Beach Party held at the Lido of Ascona. On Saturday, 19th July the event continues with the parade through the village of Ascona, at 19.00 hrs begins the Polo by Night & Dinner “Switzerland meets Russia” including two more polo matches. Following a polo brunch at 12.00hrs on Sunday and a charity, the final matches will decide which team receives the trophy. As in recent years the event is open to the public and admission is free.
