One of the most important high goal tournaments of Switzerland takes place in Gstaad from the 16th to the 19th of August 2012 – the 17th Hublot Polo Gold Cup. Four teams start, strengthened by high class professionals from Argentina. “It shows the international meaning of our tournament that this year Argentine high class players are coming to Gstaad, too“, explaines Pierre Genecand, president of Polo Club Gstaad. Also German polo players like Eva Brühl (+2) and Sebastian Schneberger (+1) take part in competitions.
Friday is free of games traditionally. Instead of playing the teams will ride as a parade on their horses through the downtown of Gstaad. They will be guided by Swiss drum choirs, the Tambours as wells as by the Bern Cavalry.
Start of the games is tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the area of the private airport at Saanen.
