The team formed by the Emirati patron Rashid Albwardy (2), Uruguayans Santiago Stirling (4) and Alejo Taranco (6), and Argentine Adolfo Cambiaso (10), dominated the match from the start and took home the trophy.

Dubai’s line-up played a very good first half of the game, taking the lead with a great difference (that got to be up to five goals on several chukkas), and Lechuza Caracas was not able to pull through.

Both Adolfo Cambiaso and Juan Martín Nero (10) played in the finals two mares that played the Argentine Open, the most important tournament in the world. Cambiaso played with Dolfina Nut in the first chukka, Dolfina Primicia in the second one, and Dolfina Bailantera on the sixth, while Nero played with Anay Sur Upa, Guitarra, and Vedet.

Santiago Stirling, Dubai Polo Team: “Luckily we managed to win to a very tough opponent as is Lechuza Caracas. After being out of the Finals of the Silver Cup by penalty shootouts, luckily today we were able to win and playing well. This victory gives us confidence to be able to face with full strength the Gold Cup, that’s the most important for us. Undoubtedly there are always issues to fix, we liked how we worked as a team today, we are happy about it and we hope to keep it up to be able to start the Gold Cup with the right foot.”
