It is the unique mixture of international top sport, summer island flair and hip lifestyle event that makes the German Polo Masters Sylt one of the most treasured and famous polo tournaments in Europe for 15 years. Polo at Sylt – that are international polo stars and top class polo action, but also “see and be seen“, relaxing island life and trendy lifestyle location. At Sylt everyone meets who is of distinction for 15 years and not only at the famous “Whisky Mile“ at Kampen, but also at the polo field at Keitum-Siidik.
From the 20th to the 29th of July 2012 the German Polo Masters Sylt reach its next round. Six international teams will start there on two game weekends to fight for the coveted Sal. Oppenheimer Gold Cup. Among others Eduardo Anca (+6), Gastón Maíquez (+6) and Thomas Winter (+5) are present.
In the audience area the sponsors present very special pieces. Mercedes-AMG shows impressive vehicles, La Martina enchants with a 150 square meters shop, Douglas offers tempting fragrances and the newest cosmetic trends. The first game weekend will be opened on saturday, sunday and wednesday by a precise landing on the field of the sky-divers “Seventhsky“. A highlight of the framework program: the Hamburg painter Regina Mohr made a large-sized polo-picture exclusively for the occasion of the German Polo Masters Sylt to support the important work of “Dunkelziffer e.V. Hamburg“. This society helps kids that have experienced violence. All polo fans at Sylt can purchase this picture by auction, the proceeds will be used for the good purpose to its full extend.
