After the saga around the location of the European Polo Championship, they will begin in two days at the Santa María Polo Club in the Spanish town of Sotogrande. Six nations – Germany, Spain, Ireland, Austria, the Netherlands and Italy – will fight for the title “Polo European Champion 2012”.
After Polo Park Zurich gave up their position as the host of the Polo European Championship the Niedersächsische Polo Club quickly offered to host. But due to a lack of sponsors and support they were also unable to host the European Championship. Only recently, at the beginning of August Santa Maria Polo Club stepped forward as the official host of the event.
