Five Teams with handicaps of 22 goals had announced their attendance at the 2014 Jaeger-LeCoultre Trippetts Challenge. On Sunday, May 18th the teams Cortium and Enigma met in the final. The match began slowly and Enigma was the only one to score during the first chukka. In the second chukka both sides scored goals. But Enigma was more successful and in the third chukka was in the lead by 7-3. Most of all 9 goaler Guillermo “Sapo” Caset scored many goals.
At the beginning of the second half of the match Cortium did its utmost to catch up, but Enigma was way too strong. In the end, Jerome Wirth (+1), Chris Mackenzie (+5), Guillermo Caset (+9) and Guillermo Willington (+7) of team Enigma left the field with a 13-5 victory. Salvador Ulloa (+7), Francisco Elizalde (+7), Tomas Garcia del Rio (+7) and Adrian Kirby (+1) of team Cortium had to settle for the second place.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Trippetts Challenge is the early season High Goal warm-up tournament at Cowdray Park Polo Club, played in memory of James Wentworth-Stanley.
