La Dolfina wins Hurlingham Open

The winner of the Hurlingham Open 2012 are La Dolfina’s Adolfo Cambiaso (+10), David Stirling (+10), Pablo Mac Donough (+10) and Juan Martín Nero (+10).
In the final the foursome from La Dolfina defeated Facundo Pieres (+10), Gonzalo Pieres, Jr. (+10), Nicolás Pieres (+9) and Mariano Aguerre (+9) from Ellerstina with a score of 18:11 and therefore defended their title from last year.
From the beginning La Dolfina dominated the match and took the lead after the second chukka with a 5:1. Ellerstina striked back in the first half of the match and reduced the distance with a 8:6 (for La Dolfina). But La Dolfina held on to their superior position with a great teamplay and strong defense. A 18:11 – was the final score of Cambiaso’s team.
Ellerstina had already won the Tortugas Open 2012 (POLO+10 reported). In so far no team wins the Triple Cown this season.
The Argentine Open are the third tournament of the Argentine Triple Crown and will start on Saturday, 17th of November. It’s the worlds most important polo tournament and will take place at the „Cathedral of Polo“ in Palermo / Buenos Aires. The final will be held on Saturday, 8th of December.
