The Maserati Metropolitan Polo Classic 2013 will take place during the Dragon Boat Festival holidays from 9 to 12 June 2013. Organised by Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club, Maserati Metropolitan Polo Classic 2013 is the highest-level invitational tournament ever to take place in China. The four 24-goal teams, sponsored by Maserati, FICOFI, FIPA GROUP and Fortune Heights, consist of world-class players from Argentina, Chile, England, Italy, New Zealand and Spain and they include celebrated names such as Tomas Pieres (+7) and Sebastian Harriott (+6).
Mr. Derek Reid, Club’s Director of Polo Operations: “Maserati Metropolitan Polo Classic is unique in the sense that it combines competitive polo with lavish hospitality. With the most celebrated brands in automobile, boats, wine and real estate as our partners, spectators will enjoy the tournament in Formula One type luxury not previously seen in this Club.”
The preliminary rounds of the tournament will be played on 9 and 10 June, the third-place match on 11 June and the final on 12 June. There will be six chukkas in each match.
