Yesterday Silex and San Enrique won at the tenth edition of the Memorial Conde de la Maza at the Santa María Polo Club in Spain. Silex with Raja Abuljebain (0), Richard Fagan (+1), Santiago Torreguitar (+3) and Lawrence Isola (+1) defeated Francisco Morales (0), Andrew Nulty (0), Tiago Gallego (+4) and Nano Iturrioz (+1) of team Los Dragones by 7-5. Sergio Pérez (0), Kaveh Atrak (+1), Gaetan Charloux (+3) and Tito Ibáñez (+1) of team San Enrique won against Saif Al Siabi (0), Khalil Al Balushi (0), Horacio Laprida (+4) and Juseff Al Shisawi (0) of team Royal Oman by 6-5,5.
These two games marked the end of the first stage of Memorial Conde de la Maza to continue next weekend, from June 28th to 30th, at the Santa María Polo Club. Already on Friday San Enrique had defeated team Silex by 6-4 and Los Dragones won against team Blueye by 11-10. On Saturday Los Dragones defeated San Enrique by 10-7 and Blueye won against Royal Oman by 7-5,5.
This time there are five teams playing this tournament: Silex, The Dragons, Royal Oman, Blueye and San Enrique. The tournament features polo players from different countries such as Argentina, England, Ireland, Portugal and Spain.
