Polo at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games?

The Federation of International Polo (FIP) has announced yesterday to have submitted a formal application to have polo considered as an “additional event” in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games! The request was submitted following an invitation of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 and this decision was approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and FIP President Nicholas Colquhoun-Denvers. An answer to the request is expected for 30 September 2015.
