Founded in 2004, this year the Polo Club Luxembourg celebrates its 10th anniversary. On the occasion of this jubilee the club has prepared a number of exciting tournaments as well as an exclusive program of special events. This year’s season in Luxembourg starts with the Season Opening Chucker from April 26th to 27th. Highlight of the season is the second edition of the Luxembourg Polo International Tournament from June 13th to 15th with six teams competing against each other. At the end of September an exclusive birthday gala is planned, which is still a secret.
Since its establishment in 2004 the Polo Club Luxembourg has developed quickly. During its first years the club neither had polo players nor fields and started as a community of polo enthusiasts travelling from one polo event to the other, all over Europe and up to India. In 2008 the club began its active period. Today the Polo Club Luxembourg owns two fields, one stick and ball field, numerous polo players and horses, coaches and grooms. The polo school for up-and-coming talents also shows what the club has accomplished during the last ten years. Valérie Théveniaut explains: “Special about our club is the friend and family spirit that guides our events, including our chuckers.”
For the coming season and the planned anniversary party the club sets high standards. This year the tournaments and events are meant to become “nicer, bigger, and as always are meant to be a lot of fun”, says Valérie Théveniaut.
