Today the Open du Soleil begin at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez. Six teams with a handicap from +8 to +10 participate in the traditional tournament which takes place from August 22 to 31. Among the participating teams is Ferne Park with Jonathan Rothermere (0), Vere Harmsworth (0), Felipe Llorente (+3) and Joaquin Pittaluga (+7), the recent winners of the Côte d’Azur Polo Cup at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez.
Several top players have announced their attendance. In addition to Joaquin Pittaluga who supports Ferne Park, Bautista Ortiz De Urbina (+6) and Juan Martín García Laborde (+5) take part in the event and will be playing for Dark Ice, as well as Eduardo Menéndez (+7) for Villa a Sesta. In the opening match today at half past five, team Ferne Park will meet Los Blancos. Following this match, Dark Ice encounters Paprec.
The Polo Club Saint-Tropez, located in Gassin next to the glamorous Saint-Tropez, is one of the most prestigious polo clubs in France. With its five excellent polo fields as well as 100 ideally equipped stables, the Polo Club Saint-Tropez is an international renowned polo location. Founded in 1998, this year the club celebrates its 15th anniversary.
