Chinese team Tang is winner of the first Axus Cup at Polo Escape in Thailand. Shilai Liu (0), Santiago Galland (+2), Santiago Lujan (+3) and Miguel Diaz (+5) won against Robin Lourvanij (0), Patrick Furlong (+2), Juan Ortelli (+2), Miguel Ayala (+3) and Patricio Lalor (+3) of the Thai team Kuppa. Third place went to team Axus after a close match against team Fast Fish.
The teams had met on three matchdays and presented exciting polo matches to the spectators. After the first two days of tough playing, a rest day was welcome on Saturday. Both players and ponies were treated to an excursion to the beach. After this relaxation the teams could give their best on the final day.
