Zacara and El Remanso in the final

Yesterday Facundo Pieres (+10), Lyndon Lea (+1), Rodrigo Andrade (+8) and Matt Perry (+3) of team Zacara prevailed against team Dubai with Adolfo Cambiaso (+10), winning 12-8 in the final of the 2013 Queen’s Cup.
After the first chukker Team Zacara with Lyndon Lea already took the lead and from then on dominated the match. Especially Facundo Pieres (+10) was at his best. At half-time the score was 7-3 in favor of Zacara. During the second half of the match the defending champion Dubai came back into match, but could not fight off Zacara’s superiority and had to acknowledge defeat.
On Sunday, June 16th, Zacara encounters team El Remanso in the final at three pm (local time). George Hanbury (+3), David Stirling (+10), Guillermo Terrera (+7) and Ali Patterson (+2) were way out in the front of yesterday’s second semi-final and won by 15-10. In the first half of the match Adrian Kirby (+1), Francisco Elizalde (+7), Chris MacKenzie (+5) and Eduardo Novillo Astrada (+9) of team Cortium-Jaeger-LeCoultre set the agenda, but in the third chukker El Remanso won the lead. They retained it and the final score was 15-10 in favor of El Remanso.
The Cartier Queen’s Cup is being held at the Guards Polo Club since 1960. The high goal tournament at Windsor Park is one of the highlights of the British polo season. The prize trophy is traditionally presented the winning team by the Queen herself.
