Richard Mille and Saint Tropez Polo Club: 2 years of partnership

Jean Yves Delfosse has been developing polo on the Saint-Tropez peninsula for 27 years. He has never stopped creating and adding originality to attract a growing audience at this athletic, friendly and chic get together. This prestigious location with exceptional facilities gave even more punch to the event, allowing it to shine like never before, just like the silver mallet jointly awarded by the Gassin and Saint Tropez municipalities.

Accompanying the Polo Club, Richard Mille gave the event even more glitz by showcasing the latest and most exclusive timepieces of the brand. Richard Mille has been appointed the Official Timekeeper to the Polo Club Saint-Tropez and has created the the RM 030 Polo de Saint Tropez.

Heralded at their initial release in 2001 as a break from the past and a new direction of horology, the wristwatches of Richard Mille were from their very inception, extraordinary and uncompromising. Richard Mille set up his company in 2001. From the outset, the brand applied a threefold philosophy: the sharpest cutting-edge technology, three-dimensional constructions shot through with pure mechanics, and hand-finishing. This strategy has never wavered, and the Richard Mille name has imposed itself with instantly recognisable timepieces at the forefront of innovation and openly inspired by racing cars and aeronautics.

For this 27th edition, Alshair Fiyaz and Corinne Schuler opened the doors of the Saint-Tropez Polo Club to host the BMW Polo Masters, complemented with a Ladies’ Cup and glamourous events for the audience to get a great experience.

8 players competed in this hotly all-women contested cup. While Melanie Amphoux’s team led 4-1 in the selection match it was the Domaine de la Rouillère team led by Magali Laget who made an incredible comeback and finally won by one goal, 5 to 4 in the final.

Day and night, sport, elegance, entertainment and themed evenings make up the BMW Polo Masters tournaments, convivial and festive events that you will not experience anywhere else.
In this summer edition, the festivities began with a parade of thirty cars. Julian Joaillier’s Old Car Trophy, has been a coveted competition for many years, in which each team are impeccably coiffured and wearing elegant hats.

To keep up with the “Concours d’Elegance”, Ms. de Fontenay Geneniève chose this stylish event to hold the Miss Provence Prestige 2014 in the presence of Marie Laure Cornu, Miss Prestige France and 3 Miss Vedettes. Romane Venier, was chosen out of the 11 candidates selected. Organized and directed by Lydia Enguehard / event Showmodel, it finished with a fashion show of the Miss Prestige stars dressed by the designer Frederic Duverneuil, the show’s official fashion designer. Upon the announcement of the show’s results in the warm applause of the public, the polo club’s dance floor lit up with the arrival of the young DJ from Lyon, William Ruchon. He was quickly joined by BIG ALI the MC for the evening, who put on a frenzied show until the early hours of the morning, dressed in a polo helmet in the St Tropez polo colours.
