Santa María aims high for the future

The high season at Santa María Polo Club, in Sotogrande, Spain, is developing at full speed. Showcasing the best polo in the world in an outstanding location at the shores of the Mediterranean sea, accompanied by the most perfect weather conditions one could ask both for leisure and for playing polo, the club prepares for its main tournament, not leaving one single detail behind.

Premium MKM, the marketing branch of the Santa María Polo Club, is also doing an exceptional labour signing agreements with prestigious sponsors for the much awaited Land Rover International Polo Tournament. Together with the title sponsor, Land Rover, many of the best brands worldwide have gotten on board: Bvlgari, the world renowned jewellers, is now supporting the acclaimed Tournament, and the catering company Sodexo Prestige will be offering the best catering and restaurant services in the tournament. In addition, a restaurant of the top chef Pepe Rodríguez will be inaugurated by the Club and Sodexo Prestige, that will certainly become the best restaurant in Sotogrande, and its surroundings.

This season is a remarkable one for Santa María, and surely also a historical one, as the forecasts show that it will exceed the results of past seasons. After the Land Rover International Polo Tournament, Santa María Polo Club will continue its unique offer of „Polo all year round“ for those eager to enjoy polo lessons regardless of the season: Santa María never closes its doors, and for Autumn and Winter offers the best polo professionals for training, combined with a great weather and fields in top conditions – the same quality of the fields the spectators are admiring in the Spring and Summer months, is maintained for the low season training options, available for everyone at the premises.

In addition, after the thrilling high season, Santa María Polo Club has big plans in stock, to start possibly in 2016: their aim is to turn this corner of Andalucía in the quintessential polo and equestrian sports capital of Europe. Negotiations to develop a project with state-of-the-art facilities such as hotels, villas, shopping malls and equestrian sports venues, with an investment of 1.5 billion euros; are on their way, with expert luxury resort developers from China, the Gulf and the US. In this stage, Santa María Polo Club is planning to add showjumping and dressage.
