Tomorrow one of the most prestigious Polo Clubs in Europe starts this year’s polo season. On April 4th, the low goal spring tournaments will take place (Torneo de Primavera de Bajo Hándicap), marking the beginning of the season with the league of 0 to 4 goals which will be played out on several weekends.
One weekend later starts the 35. edition of the Memorial José Ignacio Domecq, a renowned polo tournament in Spain. Teams with handicap 10 to 12 will compete each other from April 12th to April 20th during the Semana Santa.
Every year the two traditional spring tournaments Memorial José Ignacio Domecq and Memorial Conde de Guaqui, take place at the polo fields of Los Pinos. They are marking the beginning of the season in Santa María Polo Club, commemorating important personalities who had a close relationship to polo and Sotogrande.
