Team Mate wins the Argentina Cup

On June 5th, the Argentine Embassy in Moscow hosted the Argentina Polo Cup 2011 at the Moscow Polo Club. Four hundred guests witnessed the semi final and final matches of the tournament in beautiful sunshine. Guests enjoyed an Asado made with beef flown in from Argentina following the match. Jose Maria Venere, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Argentine Embassy, presented the players with prizes after which both players and spectators enjoyed a Tango show. The event was supported by information sponsors Millionaire.ru and Business Excellence, wine was provided by Whitehall, Ahmad Tea provided iced tea, and the Embassy retained Toro Grill to prepare the Asado.
The final was 6:4, with Team Mate beating Team Malbec, while in the in the subsidiary match, Team Tango beat Team Pampas 7:5. The Moscow Polo Club team have just returned from a thrilling win against Ham Polo Club in London, where they beat the home team 8 goals to 6 ½, despite starting out with a 1 ½ goal disadvantage against Ham. The match was part of the Club Series of international events.
