We have had a fantastic polo summer – more intense, more international and more inspiring than ever before. From Sylt to Gstaad, from Dresden to Palm Beach, the world of polo showed itself in all its diversity and strength.

This issue focuses on a movement that extends far beyond the playing field: Standing Rock. The founder and patron of the Standing Rock Polo Team, Philipp Müller, is the driving force behind a brand that focuses on values, respect and responsibility. Inspired by the culture and beliefs of Native Americans, Standing Rock promotes the highest standards of horse welfare, honours fair play with its own international award and is committed to social and cultural projects worldwide through the Standing Rock Foundation.

The seven values of the Lakota – generosity, respect, connectedness, compassion, steadfastness, wisdom and spirituality – form the basis of a modern vision of the sport. Standing Rock has translated these values into five principles: iconic, honourable, untamed, competent and vibrant. They shape an attitude that redefines the sport of polo – with heart, attitude and humanity.

2025 was also a year of superlatives on the international playing fields. At the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Palm Beach, La Dolfina Tamera with Adolfo Cambiaso triumphed in a legendary father-son duel against La Dolfina Catamount.

The final was broadcast on ESPN to millions of viewers worldwide – a milestone for global polo. And in Zurich, the Polo Park & Country Club demonstrated how passion and professionalism can come together at the highest level with the second PPZ Cup.

Strategically placed before the Hublot Polo Gold Cup in Gstaad, the tournament combined Swiss precision with international flair – an example of how the world of polo is growing together today.

A year full of energy, excitement and genuine highlights is coming to an end – yet polo never really stops. While the horses are resting in one place, elsewhere their hooves are already pounding the playing field once more. POLO+10 follows this movement around the globe – wherever passion, style and sporting spirit come together. Because the world of polo knows no standstill – and no boundaries.

With sporting regards

Tournaments, personalities, polo science and lifestyle – the new issue of POLO+10 World offers a comprehensive look into the entire polo universe. Readers are welcomed with an editorial and an extensive lineup of stories that span the sport’s global landscape.

This edition features a vibrant mix of major tournaments and cultural insights. The Bodensee 1295 Polo Masters (11–13 July) impresses with its blend of athletic spirit and social engagement, while the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad, a highlight on the international circuit for 28 years, once again showcases top-level competition in the Swiss Alps, culminating in a decisive victory for Gstaad Palace under the leadership of Markus Graeff.

Innovation and tradition meet in unexpected places: Standing Rock presents an organisation inspired by Native American values, gaining recognition for its unconventional approach and competitive achievements. Looking ahead, a preview of the AlUla Desert Polo, taking place from 16 to 17 January 2026, reveals a tournament that merges glamour, sport and culture within Saudi Arabia’s dramatic desert landscape.

Historic moments also shape this issue. At the U.S. Open Polo Championship, Adolfo Cambiaso secured his 10th title at the age of 50, defeating his son Poroto in a landmark father-son final played before a record crowd. Art and sport come together in the Gut Seeburg Gallery, celebrating 50 years of transformation from tradition to the digital era, while the Bentley Dresden Trophy 2025 crowns Team Juwelier Leicht as this year’s winner.

The international dimension continues with the Polo Park & Country Club Zürich Cup, which held its second edition and expanded from an 8–10-goal to a 14-goal tournament. The BERENBERG German Polo Masters 2025 further strengthens this global spirit, welcoming more new teams and players than ever and joining the German Polo Tour for the first time.

Winter polo also shines: at the St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship on 19 December 2024, first-year team The Agency delivered an unforgettable performance against the snowy backdrop of Rio Grande Park.

For newcomers, a concise guide to the rules of polo offers an accessible introduction to the sport, while the closing section highlights the partners whose shared passion helps power the magazine’s worldwide network.

Together, these stories paint a rich and dynamic portrait of polo today—its people, its places and its enduring spirit.
