Jurassic Park Polo Club in South Africa worked hard over their winter to improve their facilities and open up in spring again. The clubhouse has been enlarged en there are now 7 private cottages for guests, all in African style with thatch roof and local decoration. But the main reason to make the trip to South Africa is the polo. As horses are not sold abroad as much, the quality of horses is very high. Compared to Argentina the scene is quite different.
The touch of English farmerlife is very noticeable with home-made food and family-atmosphere. The local players have serious handicaps up to 7-goals so the polo is fast and open. South Africa has a very reasonable price-level which enables to play polo on more economic rates than seen elsewhere. For those who just start playing the teaching is built up from the wooden horse to stick-and-ball and instructional chukka’s. Jurassic Park is all horses, dogs, zebra’s, food, fun and polo.
