The Prague Polo and Country Club has reorganized and is up and running under the initiative of Solveig Zoske. For 2018 already three tournaments are planned: in particular the Ladys Cup in honor of Sunny Hale as well as the Champagne Cup and the Diplomats Cup. The Prague Polo and Country Club is located in the heart of Europe, in the Czech capital, Prague. About one and a half hours away from Austria, Germany and Slovakia. The club was founded in 2015 as a sports club and has grown steadily ever since. Solveig Zoske: “We are a young family club with international members of all ages.”

The club is located 10 minutes from the center of Prague and offers something for everyone.” Founded in 1230, the city odf Prague offers both, an interesting cultural program with various museums and sightseeing spots, as well as an exciting nightlife with many small bars and clubs. Gourmets can also get their money’s worth in the many international restaurants. The perfect destination for young and old.

The Polo Club is located on the race track of Prague Velka Chuchle. “We benefit greatly from this facility as we have a 2.8km training track. Furthermore, we can offer our guests solid all weather boxes. The polo system consists of a fullsize field and a smaller stick and ball field, which we have been able to bring to a professional level with the help of our investors in recent years.

In 2018, three tournaments will be hosted by the PCPC: Firstly, the three-day Diplomats Cup from June 15 to 17, 2018 (-2 to 2 goals), which is already a small club tradition. It takes place for the fourth time this year and builds on the success of previous years. Each year, the Diplomats Cup is under the auspices of another embassy. The Argentine and Dutch Embassies already were patrons. “In 2018, we look forward to working with the Brazilian Embassy.” The family-friendly tournament also caters to children’s attractions such as pony riding and face painting. Young and old come in direct contact with the sport and the horses. Two VIP areas will provide guests with live music, a DJ and exclusive catering.

From the 27th to the 29th of July the Champagne around the World Prague Open is on the program. Champagne around the world is also taking place in Vienna, Rome and Argentina. Players from America, Europe and Argentina attend the successful tournament series. Also in Prague, the players will be a guest for a week.

To crown the tournament season, a ladies’ cup will take place at the Prague Polo and Country Club from 24 to 26 August with four teams (-2nd to 2 goals). The tournament will not only be the first Ladies Cup in the Czech Republic, but also the first charity tournament in Eastern Europe. “The event will be held in honor of Sunny Hale. A wonderful polo player who prevailed in the male dominated sport and opened the doors for the Ladies Polo. She died of cancer in 2017.” 2018, several tournaments in honor of Sunny Hale will be held in various cities such as Palermo, Madrid, Jerez, Ibiza, Seville, Cannes and Madrid. A trophy travels through the respective cities and symbolizes the series character of the events.

All tournaments at the Prague Polo and Country Club are accompanied by a Players Dinner and various optional leisure activities. Solveig Zoske: “We are looking forward to a successful season with lovingly organized events. Visitors are not only welcome to our tournaments, but also to our Club Chukker, which takes place from late March to early October, three times a week.”
