Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Land Rover To Play for The 2021 World Polo League Miami Beach Polo Title

Miami, FL, April 25, 2021—The Setai, Land Rover and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek were all victorious in the second day of play on South Beach.

In the first match of the day on Saturday, The Setai (Grant Ganzi, Juancito Bollini, and Torito Ruiz) prevailed over World Polo League (Vinny Sangaline, Jeta Castagnola, and Juan Bollini). The Setai started the match with a one goal advantage.

Grant Ganzi drew first blood with an answer by Jeta Castagnola to end the first chukker 2-1 with The Setai in the lead. Torito Ruiz scored in the second period to end with Setai in the lead by 3-1 at the half. Setai couldn’t get on the board in the third period, while Jeta Castagnola scored back to back goals to end the period in a 3-3 tie. Grant Ganzi scored on a penalty in the final chukker and also from the field, while Torito Ruiz also put the ball through the post. Juan Bollini scored two goals from the field but The Setai prevailed 6-5.

Nic Roldan squeezes through Land Rover‘s Barto Castagnola to gain possession

In the second match of the day, Land Rover (Philip de Groot, Barto Castagnola, and Tito Gaudenzi) started play with 4 goals on handicap against The Vila Collection/GFI (Marc Ganzi, Horacio Heguy, and Nic Roldan). In the first chukker Nic Roldan put two goals on the board to take the score to 4-2, and converted a Penalty 2 in the second period to end the half with the Villa Collection trailing 3-4. Land Rover converted a Penalty 2 in the third period, while Roldan scored from the penalty line and the field to end the pentultimate chukker in a 5-5 tie. Roldan scored two more goals in the final chukker but four goals fro Barto Castagnola won the match for Land Rover 9-7.

In the final match of the day, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (Melissa Ganzi, Nacho Figueras, and Alejandro Novillo Astrada) took on Italkraft (Govinda Quish, Juan Martin Zubia and Poroto Cambiaso). Seminole Casino Coconut Creek started the match with one goal on the board.

Poroto Cambiaso scored two goals in the first chukker, while Melissa Ganzi converted a penalty and Ale Novillo Astrada scored from the field to end the period 3-2 in favor of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Ganzi and Astrada put two more goals on the board while keeping Italkraft off the board and the half ended 5-2 in favor of Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Ganzi converted a Penalty 2 in the third chukker, while each member of Italkraft scored from the field to end the third chukker 6-5 with Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in the lead. Melissa Ganzi score another two goals in the final chukker, and Nacho Figueras put one between the posts as well. Italkraft couldn’t penetrate the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek defense to get on the board the game ended 9-5.
