Evviva Polo Club St. Moritz secured first place in the semifinals by winning Polo Club Schockemöhle 12-10 ½ goals.
The first quarterfinal between Evviva Polo Club St. Moritz and Polo Club Schockemöhle started very quickly, both teams immediately coming into the team with a swift pace, ending the second chukker 5-4 ½ goals.
Almost until the third chukker, the game was even between both teams, but then the Swiss team turned the pressure on the German team and started running away with four goals to their advantage.
Then, Schockemöhle came back strong, and unfortunately, Tomas Pieres missed the goal in the last chukker to have some chances to turn out the match, and Evviva Polo Club St. Moritz got the first seat for the Semifinals.
In the day‘s second game, Aquedotto Romano Polo Club beat Araucaria Polo Club by 8-7 goals.
The game started very balanced between both teams, as at the end of the second chukker the result was 4-4 goals.

Afterwards, Araucaria scored two goals in the last chukker to keep the pressure on, but there was no time, and Aquedotto Romano won.
Amadeus Polo Club defeated Coronel Suárez Polo Club in the first match of the afternoon by 10-8 ½ goals.
The game was a bit slow at the start, but then Amadeus Polo Club picked up the pace a bit more in the first half, putting Coronel Suárez under pressure to fight hard to come back. Santiago Marambio made all the difference in opening up the play to make the Argentinian team a narrow but a convincing victory towards the end final score of 10- 8½ goals.
The fourth and final quarterfinal game of the day between Polo Club Saint-Tropez and Golden Greens Polo Club ended with the victory of the French team by 10-8 goals.

Murus Sanctus 11 – 10 La Magdeleine The Queen’s Ground
Navigating through a deep field of 17 teams over four weeks of elite competition, Murus Sanctus and La Magdeleine went head-to-head on the historic Queen’s Ground to crown a new Cartier Queen’s Cup champion. Posting an early penalty conversion off the mallet of La Magdeleine’s Santiago Laborde to open the scoring, Murus Sanctus was then on the attack, hitting three in the first chukka, including a Penalty 2 from Alejandro Muzzio to take a 3-1 lead. Taking advantage of Murus Sanctus’s foul troubles in the second, three penalties from La Magdeleine’s Pablo MacDonough were answered by two goals in open play from a driving Polito Pieres to maintain Murus Sanctus’ narrow one-goal advantage. With a combined five field shots between the two teams in the third, the accuracy of these evenly matched opponents was on full display before the half-time bell. MacDonough and Facundo Fernandez Llorente found the goal in the third chukka, as Marcos Araya and Pieres delivered for Murus Sanctus. These deadlocked teams made their way into the tents tied 7-7 at the break.
Emerging with a charge, Murus Sanctus generated some much-needed air in the score to open the second half of play. Pieres and Muzzio worked beautifully in tandem from the field to combine for three goals and give Murus Sanctus a 10-7 lead. Generating only two shots with no opportunities to score from penalties, La Magdeleine was forced to make a late push in the sixth chukka. Rebounding on back-to-back goals from MacDonough and Santiago Laborde, La Magdeleine managed to cut their deficit down to one. Stifling La Magdeleine’s sudden momentum, a brilliant drive from Pieres was all Murus Sanctus needed to hold off MacDonough’s final effort and ensure Murus Sanctus held on for an electrifying 11-10 victory to capture their first Cartier Queen’s Cup title.
Murus Sanctus’s Corinne Ricard received Queen’s Cup from Cartier’s Managing Director Laurent Feniou. Not surprisingly, thanks to an impressive, seven-goal performance, including six in open play, Polito Pieres was named the Cartier Most Valuable Player. Meanwhile, the Cartier Best Playing Pony prize was awarded to Irenita La Kiosquera, played by Pablo MacDonough.
Earlier in the day, Vikings defeated Twelve Oaks 10-9 in the sub final for the Cartier Trophy on The Duke’s Ground. This was a stop/start game full of penalties, highlighting the tension and determination from both teams to secure a win on the last day of such a magnificent competition. A Cartier Most Valuable Player prize was awarded to Juan Martin Zubia of the Vikings team.

The first Polo Nations Cup, launched by the Fédération française de polo and the Polo Club de Chantilly, was a real success: eight teams took part, ten days of games, each as exciting as the next, and a magnificent final won by PACA France, a wonderful team made up of four young players all from French training.
This first final opposed France against South Korea, a young polo federation eager to develop the sport in its country and position itself on the international polo map. A first success with their qualification for this final in Chantilly. But Korea had to contend with an ambitious young French team, who took control of the game right from the start with a goal from Dorian Bulteau. Although Pandy Irstorza equalized with a corner shot, Louis Jarrige gave France the lead in the first half. This dominance was confirmed in the second chukker (3-1), but in the following period, again thanks to Pandy Irstorza, the two teams were tied again… at least for a few moments. It was in the fourth chukker that the team in blue broke the deadlock, thanks mainly to collective action (everyone scored today), as explained by MVP (best player of the final) Julien Reynes: „It really is above all a team victory, as this was a team tournament, we played all our games as a foursome and we won all our victories as a foursome. The start of the game was closed, which is what Tito was looking for, keeping the ball for fear we‘d get it back, and in the fourth chukker we opened up the game by hitting our first balls, and that‘s when we made the difference. Last year, we won a tournament of the same level with this team, and this shows that we‘re on the right track. We‘re delighted to have won this first edition, as the Polo Nations Cup is destined to become a benchmark tournament on the international circuit“.
For David Ko, the Korean captain (best amateur player), qualifying for the final was a victory in itself: „It was a great feeling to be in the final, it was quite unexpected, but we were here thanks in particular to our two professional players, Santiago Irastorza and Tito Guiñazu. Being MVP is one thing, but above all it‘s a great start for Korean polo. This kind of tournament teaches us to play better, and we‘ll be back next year for the Polo Nations Cup and before that for other major tournaments in France, such as the Open de France here in September. Polo is still in its infancy in Korea, but I hope we‘ll be able to bring more players to France next year.”
This first and „young“ Nations‘ Cup is destined to become a major event. Its concept has already won over a number of new nations, who have signified their interest in taking part next year, the Olympic year. As is often the case on these days at the Polo Club de Chantilly, this day of the final was a beautiful one… but there are many more to come, starting with the next tournament of the same level which begins this week, the Charity Cup, and above all the Open de France next September, where at least twenty teams have been announced to take part. It‘s going to be great sport! High level sport!

The opening game between Araucaria Polo Club and Evviva Polo Club St. Moritz witnesses a narrow victory from the Argentinian team by 8 ½ – 8 goals.
The Swiss team came out very strong in the first part of the game ending the chukker 2 in front of the score 6-1/2. But from the third chukker, there was a complete turnaround, and Araucaria Polo Club worked very well. Polo Club Schockemöhle won the day's second game by 11-6 to Aquedotto Romano Polo Club.
The German team came into the beginning of the game with a light start and took them two chukkers to find their rhythm. Instead, Aquedotto Romano Polo Club dominated the game until more or less the second half of the game, but Polo Club Schockemöhle came back very strong, with a great run of 8 goals in a row. Tomás Pieres led and dragged his team to their second win, with Vanessa Schockemöhle scoring the last goal for her team.
A very close and tight game between Amadeus Polo Club and Roma Polo Club, where the Argentinian team beat the Italian team by 8 – 6 ½ goals.
In the first chukker, Amadeus Polo Club took the lead, but in the second chukker, it was the turn of Roma Polo Club to play stronger. But it wasn’t until the second half when Amadeus Polo Club won the game leading by 2 to 1 in the third and fourth chukkers.
The closing game of the day ended with the victory of Polo Club Saint-Tropez against El Rincón Polo José Ignacio by 10-4 goals.
The first half of the match ended with two goal-lead for the French team, and an impressive Lorenzo Chavanne, who scored four goals in the last chukker, gave a clear win to Polo Club Saint-Tropez.

At the first Biohacking Retreat on the island of Sylt, we can learn in two days how to unleash our full genetic potential. Co-organizer Moritz Klatten reveals in an interview what exactly is behind the biohacking trend.
What can participants expect from the first biohacking retreat on Sylt?
The event is intended to provide an introduction to the topic of physical and mental self-optimization that is as inspiring as it is motivating. It is important to me and my co-organizer Nico Airone to offer all participants a good mix of theory and practice. In the theory part it concerns among other things a nutrition cut to the individual needs of humans. And in the practical part it goes then completely concretely around experiencing – as for example by learning special breath and Meditationstechniken or by ice bathing.
Ice bathing? My teeth chatter just hearing the word….
Oh, it’s not that bad if you try it under professional guidance. (laughs) And the positive effects are really impressive. On the one hand, the metabolism and fat burning are boosted – and on the other, your own immune system is strengthened enormously.
Can you confirm this from your own experience?
You bet! I have not been sick once in the past nine years. Any questions? (laughs)
What exactly does the word biohacking mean?
Translated very loosely into German, it means something like trying to get the best out of your body and mind and thereby unleash your full genetic potential.
Do you have a concrete example of a biohack trick that you have personally had good experiences with?
I got into the habit of always wearing special glasses that filter out blue light when I watch TV in the evening. This has improved my sleep enormously, especially my deep sleep phase. One of our guest speakers is Daniel Sentker (Founder of Lichtblock,) who will talk about this topic. And every retreat participant will get a Biohacking Starter Pack including these glasses.
What exactly is it all about?
By blocking blue light, our melatonin levels can rise normally; just as nature intended when it gets dark outside. And then we automatically sleep much more deeply and accordingly more restfully. Of course, the best thing would be not to watch television at all in the evening, but in reality this is hardly feasible. It’s a no-go to spend a lot of time on the smartphone in the evening before going to bed. This has the same negative effect as watching TV – and not just because of the blue light.
What age group is the biohacking event for?
Basically, everyone from the age of 12 to 80 can participate; although it would definitely make sense to get confirmation from the family doctor beforehand that there are no health restrictions. Then, for example, ice bathing is no problem for participants aged 60 plus. In my eyes, it is never too late to deal with the topic of self-optimization and to start turning the right screws.
What is the maximum number of participants?
No more than 45, because it’s important that there’s enough time for me and the other seminar leaders to be able to respond to people’s individual questions.
As a fitness and nutrition expert, what do you think of the ultimate sports programs and miracle diets that can be found online all the time?
Very little! There is no secret recipe for fitness and vitality that can be applied to all of us, because we humans are far too different in terms of our genetic makeup alone. That’s why there are people who eat a less than optimal diet and hardly do any exercise, but still look young and fit well into old age. Especially on the subject of nutrition, we have Nils Schulz-Ruhtenberg (specialist in general medicine, nutritional medicine and sports medicine), a top guest speaker, who will talk in detail about this topic.
What is the most important insight you have gained over the years in terms of sports and nutrition?
That it is incredibly important to respond to people’s individual needs, bodies, prerequisites. In order to find the sport and nutrition that really suits you, so that you stick to it. What and how you train is also an essential factor for success. In my eyes, for example, prolonged aerobic training is overrated.
Interesting! And why is that?
In the past, we Stone Age people didn’t run after a hare for two hours, but with a lot of luck we killed it with a stone after a short sprint. People who jog many kilometers every day may be slim, but they usually look older. This is because long runs cause adrenaline and cortisol levels to go up, while testosterone and growth hormones go down. This means stress for the entire organism.
What would be a better alternative?
Interval training. This is the best for heart health, metabolism, blood pressure or blood lipids due to maximum oxygen uptake. That’s why sprinters look so much fitter and more vital than long-distance runners.

Organic cosmetics instead of Botox syringes? In combination with hyaluron, spilanthol (botox) works wonders: the plant substance immediately smoothes expression lines and gives a refreshed and radiant appearance. Nikki Benett has developed her active ingredient cosmetic series Spilanthox therapy.
copyright: Nikki Benett
Interview with Nikki Benett:
You say that the products of Spilanthox therapy are a revolution in the field of natural anti-wrinkle care! Why is that so?
Spilanthox therapy is the first treatment to contain high doses of pure medically isolated Spilanthol. It thus provides a direct light lifting effect, immediate facial smoothing and a more even complexion in a natural way. A natural active ingredient cosmetic that really works. And which is a genuine, purely natural alternative to Botox.
What is Spilanthol and how does it work?
Spilanthol, an active ingredient derived from paracress (Acmella Oleracea), relaxes muscles and acts as a natural anaesthetic. This is why it is extremely effective against expression lines and first wrinkles. At the same time it improves the firmness and contractility of the skin. This effectively delays the aging of the skin.
What else do Spilanthox therapy products contain?
Medically isolated Spilanthol and an Acmella Oleracea extract in high dosage as well as low and high molecular hyalurone- this is concentrated anti-wrinkle power. Spilanthox therapy is Bio-Botox at an extremely affordable price. You look more relaxed, smoother and youthfully fresh. We also work with substances such as grape seed oil, almond oil, olive oil, phyto-squalane, vitamin C and natural scented oils from orange and grapefruit.
How did you discover and further develop the active ingredient spilanthol?
Since my childhood I have been fascinated by nature, which apparently has a solution to every problem. My grandmother taught me how to make creams and healing tinctures from herbs. Because I was very allergic to anaesthetics, among other things, after a very serious illness, my dentist treated me with Spilanthol, a local anaesthetic. This was the first time I was made aware of this active ingredient.
And what happened next?
After the illness I intensively studied biochemical processes in the body, natural raw materials, herbs, plants and holistic medicine. Through Spilanthol I then found highly exciting research studies from England and the USA and worked my way further into the topic. After that, everything was clear to me. In the research series, subjects were treated with 2% spilanthol-containing products. With outstanding results: Hanging cheeks disappeared, facial expressions relaxed, wrinkles were ironed away. The way it works is terrific. Our products even contain 5% spilanthol, which is more than twice the amount.
And the Spilanthox therapy care series was developed from these findings?
Yes, I have invested the following one and a half years in laboratory work and product development. Since October 2017 the products are exclusively available in selected drugstores, perfumeries and at amazon. The raw materials come from Germany, Austria and France. Production takes place exclusively in Germany. Spilanthox therapy is based exclusively on natural ingredients and is produced without animal testing.
Where do you stand today?
Our first “baby” from the green laboratory is already enjoying great popularity and is about to make its international breakthrough. To date, our products are only available within Europe. But not only this groundbreaking natural cosmetic series was created, but also the Nikki Benett Green Group in Hamburg, with a team of people who have their hearts in the right place and who had the same visions for the future. A “green life”, in harmony with nature and a healthy looking, attractive body with an ageless, radiant face and a soul that smiles.

Organic cosmetics instead of Botox syringes? In combination with hyaluron, spilanthol (botox) works wonders: the skin’s own substance immediately smoothes expression lines and gives a refreshed and radiant appearance. Nikky Benett has developed her active ingredient cosmetic series Spilanthox therapy.

In 2018, Jaeger-LeCoultre proudly celebrates its partnership with Casa Fagliano, the renowned Argentinian bootmakers. This exclusive collaboration has given birth to new editions of Reverso Tribute and Reverso Classic pieces, on very well made cordovan leather straps, demonstrating an outstanding leathercraft tradition. In honor to this collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre invited Clare Milford Haven, Polo player and friend of the brand, to adopt her own Casa Fagliano strap, and enhance her personalized Reverso Classic Duetto Medium.
A unique creation, imagined and personalized by Clare Milford Haven
In 2016, for the 85th birthday of the iconic Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre invited Clare Milford Haven, with whom it has been cultivating close ties since 2004, to imagine a model attuned to her tastes – the Reverso Classic Duetto Medium in pink gold. Graced with two dials and a double set of hands driven by a single movement, the Reverso Classic Duetto Medium appeals by its timeless elegance. This timepiece is adorned in subtle shades of blue. Even before the watch swivels, certain discreetly personalized elements are perceptible, as the crown finely set with diamonds and a ruby – symbolizing victory, charity and love. This year, Clare Milford Haven set the perfect final touch to this highly personal model, with a unique cordovan leather strap demonstrating the unrivalled leathercraft tradition of Casa Fagliano, specially created for the very symbolic Reverso Classic Duetto Medium.
